Yatin Choudhary is an architect and urban planner from IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee, with specialization in building technologies and sustainable habitats, has been working in field of Housing and Urban and rural Infrastructure and for past 7 years. Presently working in TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi India) He has been involved in urban infrastructure and performance measurement, resources planning, design of energy efficient buildings and integration of energy efficient technologies in to building design. Proficient in application of GIS for resource planning in development of sustainable housing in urban and rural areas. He is working for development of sustainable buildings and has expertise in simulation of building for natural ventilation and lighting using latest simulation software like VisDOE, TRNSYS, ECOTECT, Lumen Designer, AGI 32 etc. In field of green buildings, he has worked extensively for development of TERI GRIHA (Green Rating for integrated Habitat Assessment) an evaluation tool to design operate and evaluate and maintain resource-efficient buildings. He is presently Area Convenor, GRIHA (Green Rating for Int. Habitat Assessment) in the Center for Research on Sustainable Building Science, TERI. He is also well versed with LEED Rating system and has provided consultancy for specific criteria of LEED NC, LEED CS, and LEED CI projects in INDIA
